Song Lyrics

I was listening to the radio today and when this song came on I immediately connected with the lyrics. I felt like I could relate to the songwriter. I think that is the main purpose when artists write songs with hopes that someone will be able to relate to them. Song lyrics are the written form of art.

Colbie Caillat - Fallin’ For You Lyrics

I don’t know but
I think I maybe
Fallin’ for you
Dropping so quickly
Maybe I should
Keep this to myself
Waiting ’til I
Know you better

I am trying
Not to tell you
But I want to
I’m scared of what you’ll say
So I’m hiding what I’m feeling
But I’m tired of
Holding this inside my head

I’ve been spending all my time
Just thinking about ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you
I’ve been waiting all my life
and now I found ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you
I’m fallin’ for you

As I’m standing here
And you hold my hand
Pull me towards you
And we start to dance
All around us
I see nobody
Here in silence
It’s just you and me

I’m trying
Not to tell you
But I want to
I’m scared of what you’ll say
So I’m hiding what I’m feeling
But I’m tired of
Holding this inside my head

I’ve been spending all my time
Just thinking about ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you
I’ve been waiting all my life
and now I found ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you
I’m fallin’ for you

Oh I just can’t take it
My heart is racing
The emotions keep spinning out

I’ve been spending all my time
Just thinking about ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you
I’ve been waiting all my life
and now I found ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you
I’m fallin’ for you

I can’t stop thinking about it
I want you all around me
And now I just can’t hide it
I think I’m fallin’ for you (x2)

I’m fallin’ for you

Ooohhh
Oh no no
Oooooohhh
Oh I’m fallin’ for you

Technology as Art

Technology can be viewed as an art form. It is a complex unit of many different parts. We use technology every single day, but we might not see it as actual pieces of art. I was looking online for some pictures and here are some I found...

Football is a culture because...

CULTURE is...
  • Excellence of taste in the fine arts and humanities, also known as high culture
  • An integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for symbolic thought and social learning
  • The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an organization or group
:the above information is from wikipedia.com:

In my opinion, football is a culture because a group of people get together for football games (rituals) with the same goal and attitudes which is for their team to win the game. For instance, each football team has a different fight song and songs played during the game. Just like America has their national anthem, football teams have their own kind of national anthem per say. Their fans or players of the football team have a costume or outfit they should or normally would wear to this occasion. For these reasons, I think football is somewhat of a culture.

YouTube...a form of art?

People use YouTube as a tool in making videos to express how they feel. I absolutely love this song but this video more importantly is a form of expression..."ART." This video was created by A2 level media studies students.

Human Condition in Art Form

Human Condition
Self Portrait by Frida Kahlo

Wiki states that human condition is, "The human condition refers to the distinctive features of human existence. As finite and mortal entities, there are series of features that are common to most human lives, and some that are inevitable for all." Frida Kahlo is a perfect example of a painter who expresses human condition. Her self-portrait resembles her personal struggles in life, her condition, or state in life.
