ART and FILM come hand and hand. Every film has art in it no matter what genre it may be. Art in film can vary from costumes/outfit choices, dance routines, facial expressions, body language, etc. Art, to sum it all up, tells a story. Depending on what outfit a person wears can tell a lot about a person: their mood, personality, intentions. The costume designer had to pick the clothes out with the intention for telling the story which is a form of art. Same thing goes with dance routines. For example, if the producer wants the audience to get the vibe that the characters are lovers, he/she wouldn't have them dancing far apart with no body contact. Instead, they would have them close as possible with the focus on the other character. Without art, film would be bland, boring, and no one would enjoy it. Another example is in New Moon , right before Jacob comes in Bella's room it shows a painting of a werewolf on her wall (foreshadowing Jacob's arrival.) Besides the obvious of it being a painting but it told a story and helped the audience gain a sense of what was to come. Some people may have not caught that as foreshadowing, but isn't that art? People see things differently or not at all! In conclusion, film needs art to be successful.
