Favorite Artist

My favorite artist has to be....ANDY WARHOL.

A leading figure in the pop art movement, Andy Warhol is also famous and well-known for being a painter, printmaker, author, producer, and filmmaker. Warhol has been the subject of many exhibitions, films, books, stories, etc He is also credited with the familiar phrase "15 minutes of fame." Andy Warhol is my favorite artist because it is completely unique and different with his own style of art. Some of the most famous works of art are the Campbell's Soup Cans, Disasters and Marilyns. He is also known for working with younger artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Francesco Clemente, and Keith Haring. He also created two cable television shows, "Andy Warhol's TV" in 1982 and "Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes" for MTV in 1986. Warhol made several films which have become classics such as Chelsea Girls, Empire and Blow Job. My favorite piece of art by Andy Warhol is the Marilyns. Not only do i LOVE Marilyn Monroe but I would absolutely love for my picture to be done like this one was. The reason why I am so intrigued by this painting is because of the bright colors, it just draws your eye in and you cant help but admire it.
